WotLK Profession Specific Bonus Perks Summary

Blizzard will be continuing the trend of giving each profession it’s own perk with special abilities and BoP enchants, item enhancements, and items. Here is a summary of what we know so far:
Alchemy Profession Bonus Perks
- Mixology
- WotLK Flasks get 32 itemization points, elixirs get 16 points. Doubles duration on all flasks and elixirs.
- Using WotLK Flasks, gives 37 spellpower, 64 attack power, 13 MP5, or 320 health
- Crazy Alchemist’s Potion
- Alchemists can still transmute items on a daily cooldown
- Endless Mana Potion, Endless Healing Potion, and Endless Rejuvenation Potion
- Indestructible Alchemist’s Stone, Mercurial Alchemist’s Stone, and Mighty Alchemist’s Stone
- Alchemy discoveries are on a weekly cooldown – Northrend Alchemy Research – Spell – World of Warcraft
Leatherworking Profession Bonus Perks
- New WotLK drums are not in the spell database at the moment Current drums are unusable at level 80.
- Reduced cost on leg armor – does not give a special bonus
- Fur Lining – Enchantment on bracers. – fur lining – Wowhead Search – Gives a large stat boost over the equivalent enchant (+40 spell damage, +82 attack power). There’s also a stamina one for 90 stamina, but no stamina enchant yet. There is also resistances for fur linings, for an additional 60 resists.

- Jewelcrafting has its own set of dailies, with which rare gem recipes (5 tokens), metagem recipes (8 tokens), and Dragon’s Eyes (1 token) can be purchased. – Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Token

Inscription Shoulder Enchants

Wow, so I definitely did not see this one coming. Apparently inscription will be doing the shoulder enchants for wrath of the lich king! This is huge, as it adds a whole new realm of possibilities for the profession. I’m not going to lie…I’m pretty damn pumped to level up inscription. The profession is just stacked! You get the bonus glyph slot just for being an inscriber, shoulder enchants, spell / ability buffs and who knows what else by the time they are said and done with it.
As good as jewelcrafting was when the burning crusade came out…I think inscription is going to be even better. Better stock up those herbs now!

Happy times for all you alchemy lovers out there. A few weeks ago we got our first look at the new wotlk alchemy transmutes, and now we’re finally getting to see the new alchemist trinkets, elixirs and change to discoveries!
New Alchemy Trinkets
You should note that all of these are the rare versions of the alchemist stone, and therefore incredibly easy to make. They all requires just a few herbs different herbs to craft. I would imagine that the epic versions of these trinkets will be implemented later in the expansion.

New WotLK Alchemy Transmutes, Diamond and Eternal Transmute Lists

Well, it was only a matter of time before we finally started seeing some of the new wotlk alchemy transmutes. And not surprisingly these are almost an exact continuation of transmutations seen in the Burning Crusade, very creative with the names blizzard.
- Transmute: Earthsiege Diamond: Transmute the element of fire and gems into a Earthsiege Diamond.
- Transmute: Skyflare Diamond: Transmute the element of air and gems into a Skyflare Diamond.
- Transmute: Eternal Might: Transmute Air, Earth, Fire and Water Eternals into an Eternal Might
In addition to the diamond transmutes we also have the new big commodity item of the expansion, eternals. Eternals in WotLK are basically the same thing as primals in Burning Crusade.

The Violet Eye Reputation Guide

The Violet Eye is the reputation associated with the 10-man raid instance, Karazhan. Being it’s the first 10-man instance in the Burning Crusade, chances are you’ll be spending plenty of time there. There is a host of great items, patterns, and other rewards you can attain from this faction.
How do I gain reputation with The Violet Eye?
Gaining reputation with the Violet Eye is very straight forward, kill trash mobs and kill the bosses inside of Karazhan. In addition to kill the monsters inside the dungeon you can also complete the few quest chains associated with the dungeon. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you’re looking at it) most of the quest objectives and starting locations are right outside of Karazhan itself.
The first quest you’ll pick up is your ring quest. There are 4 quests, one for each class of ring: healer, damage caster, melee dps, and tank. Each quest has 4 tier of rings you’ll be rewarded with as you gain reputation.

Scryer Reputation Guide

The scryers are one of two main factions in the Burning Crusade (the other is aldor; aldor reputation guide). Both of these factions
provide great rewards, but as they are at war with each other you can only pick one.
As you gain reputation with the scryers your reputation will go down with the aldor, and vice versa.
How do I choose Scryers?
First things first, you must choose between the aldor and scryers. You do this by talking to Khadgar after you’ve done the Shattrath City intro walk through quest. You can find him in the middle of Shattrath city.
How do you gain reputation with the Scryers?
There are several ways. The most straight forward is by simply doing quests for NPC’s of the Scryer’s faction. These are located throughout the world, and generally speaking they all give loads of experience.
Once you’ve chosen the Scryer faction you can get quests from the Scryer’s tier in shattrath city, and at other scryer outposts in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley.
Initially you’ll be turning in firewing signets. These drop from all of the mobs in Firewing point, located along the eastern edge of Terrokar forest.
Once you are honored you can no longer turn in firewing signets, but now you’ll be turning in sunfury signets. Generally speaking, you’ll want to be level 68+ before attempting to farm these. They drop off higher levels monsters in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon valley, so it’s a real pain if you aren’t high enough.
In addition to sunfury signets, you’ll also want to be turning in your arcane tomes
In addition to reputation, you will also get an arcane rune for turning in the tome. This will be used to get the shoulder enchants from the scryers reputation vendor.

Alchemy truly is one of the greatest professions in World of Warcraft. It’s the type of profession that can be used by players in every sector of this game. From raiding and PvE to battlegrounds and PvP, alchemy has something to offer to everyone. There are great potions, items, and plenty of was to make tons of gold with the profession. As with any profession we want to find the fastest (and cheapest!) ways of leveling it, you’ll find exactly that in the guide below.
The following is a list of all of the herbs you’ll need to level alchemy from 1 to 375. These numbers are going to be very close if not exact in most cases, but the higher level recipes will have a higher chance to not gain a point. In these cases you may need additional herbs for particular levels.
