/pat derek

I know how it feels to get *balanced*, trust me, I know.

You'll have to adapt. BC was hell for me.

there's no adapting to getting 100 to zero in a global by virtually every class.

How do you think I feel? I leveled my druid, and my wife her priest, so we've been playing balance/disc for the second week in a row. We hover right around the neutral 1500 range :(

Any class with a melee of any type has about a 60% chance to beat us, and if there's double melee and they focus my wife (Vexin, disc priest) then they have around a 90% chance to win. The only times we win in double melee situations are when I pop everything while they are burning her and they have no resilience so my starfall gets them both to very low on its own while I help to try to keep her up.

Mana burn is broken. Clothies get broken down quickly. Healers in plate with a 10 second immunity to everything, as was predicted by many months before WotLK came out, are horribly OP. Melee DPS classes are godlike. Yes, arena seems to be as hopelessly broken as it seems.

My wife and I are both sitting at over 700 resilience, and it still seems like she is going out naked when she gets focused. I have seen a few forums out there calling for several fixes on a case by case basis, but honestly, if they want to fix arena quickly, double the benefits of resilience (maybe take away the detrimental effect resilience has on mana burn ;) ) and add 20 or so stamina to every piece of gear with resilience on it, and it will go a long way to making things more balanced.

I'd like to see something like that happen...but in all honesty I know how blizzard works, and I doubt we'll see anything as ground breaking as that. They'll start slow and leave arena broken for 4-6 more weeks for fear of sending an imbalance in the direction of survivability.

/sigh

Do you play a rogue still, zuggy? Because I've been taken down 50% by single mutilates.

What if they "did" want arenas to get faster paced? Those 30 minute matches were the bore. At least you can get over quick, right?

I'm still leveling up zuggy, going to try to get him to 80 in the next couple of weeks. So far I just haven't had the desire to make a serious push at leveling.

I can understand wanting to speed up the pace of arena and pvp in general, but there's a definite line between speeding up and flat our ridiculous. So far it's leaning towards the latter.

You're obviously used to slow(er) paced arenas. But who said that arenas should be made that way? And what if it remained? Would you quit, or would you adapt?

Cream, have you seriously played any arena yet?

"Faster paced" shouldn't mean there is zero recourse for healers who fight any team that can stun / silence / interrupt / burst / cs / cc ....which incidentally is all of them. I wouldn't mind faster paced arenas, but as I already said...there is a line and currently blizzard is so far beyond it I have little hope that 2s / 3s will be balanced for several months, if ever.
