I played WAR briefly and it was 10 fold the disaster WoW is currently.

In response to Hesh, I've tried both Disc (60/11/0) and a BR (37/34/0) build on my priest for 2v2 this season. It may be as a result of having Erk's boomkin as Disc and his rogue as BR, but I definitely felt much better as BR. I cannot confirm the BR "bug" you mentioned but I've also heard of it working. Sadly though, arenas really suck for a priest in either spec and resilience does little to help (I'm currently at 730) so one of the main advantages of the BR spec is Improved Death (with the glyph) which gives you the possibility (DKs suck) to heal your partner to full after you die and keep him at full health if the opposition is not smart enough to run away.

You lose out on PS (which in my experience you never really get the chance to cast or if you do it doesn't matter anyway) and Penance (which is awesome but not self-castable) as BR but it doesn't seem to matter that much. I do like having Divine Fury that you mentioned earlier but not so much for Greater Heal (although it helps if you manage to get away and hide) but for Holy Fire and Smite. My view of a Disc/BR priest is more of an offensive player that can heal than a healer. You can never compete with the other healing classes in healing output and efficiency in arenas (pallys in PVE gear, shaman with WS, druids are druids) so don't even try. Mana burn used to be a way around this but currently will make you go OOM faster than your opponent so you're best off trying to help your partner burn someone down when you get the chance with PI up while you CC/fear the other player. Holy Fire + SWD + a lucky Surge of Light Smite can be a lot of burst. Also, the dispel magic glyph is really a nice healing boost (but sadly about to be nerfed) so make sure you have that.
