Mana Tomb Stealth Farming

If you’re a rogue then you may already be aware of this, if not…sit down, because you’re going to be floored when you realize how much gold you could have been making for years! Stealth farming in the mana tombs is one of the quickest and easiest ways for a rogue to make some serious gold. You don’t need amazing gear, any particular talent spec or God-like skills, all you need is a level 70 rogue and 350+ lock picking.

Stealth farming mana tombs as a rogue really could not be any more simple.

• Walk in Mana Tombs on normal mode
• Kill the 2-3 mob packs guarding each of the 2 chests
• Loot the chest
• Walk out, reset theinstance, repeat.

Your server will ultimately determine the amount of gold you are able to make using this strategy, but in my experience the mana tomb farming runs have yielded as much as 500 gold per hour. Check out the video to see how it’s done.

The Battle for Undercity - WotLK Cinematic Video

Pretty cool new in-game video, featuring the Battle at the Wrath Gate / The Battle for Undercity. This video reminds me a lot of the the very popular Tales of the Past videos. It really is very well done, though the voice acting was a bit “meh” in my opinion.

I won’t say much more than that fear fear of spoiling the video / story for everyone. Please note, the following video reveals many of the story elements regarding wotlk and arathas. If you want to save all the surprises for expansion then don’t watch this video.

On a side note…am I the only one that thinks this looks like a LotR rip off? wrath gate…black gate, drakes flying in at the end…eagles flying in at the end. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s very similar in many ways.

WotLK Zone and Instance Exploration Video

Great WotLK exploration video from Muffins of Muradin. You may remember Muffins who created the original WotLK exploration video, featuring zone and dungeon exploration for levels 70-77. His newest creation, which graphically speaking is far better executed, features his WotLK experiences for levels 77-80.

The video is well done and shows many of the highlights and unique zone features we’ll all get to encounter in the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. On a side note, if you can just download the movie. It’s much higher quality than the stream is.

Dalaran Sewers Arena Video

Another job well done from Blizzard here for the new Dalaran Arena map. This map is located within the sewers of Dalaran and Northrend. Much like the new Orgrimmar arena map, dalaran includes a much more dynamic and intuitively designed map.

• Multiple levels of elevation
• Line of sight positions located both in the inner and outer rings of the arena
• Dynamic water jet that periodically fires in the middle of the map. This can be used as an LoS position.
• Generally speaking it’s a very small map, should make for more aggressive and high intensity game play.

WotLK Motorcycle Mount - Mechano-Hog Glory!

One of the most anticipated features of beta was finally introduced with this most recent build and the addition of the “mechano-hog” motorcycle mount. This motorcycle mount is the newest (and currently most bad ass) item of the engineering profession.

Mechano-Hog

• Requires 450 Engineering to craft and use (maybe)
• Requires level 80
• Requires 150+ riding skill
• You can carry one passenger in the side car.

I was pretty much a 100% definite to go inscription on my shaman, but after seeing how cool the new hog looks I’m not so sure!

On a side note, no word yet if this mount will be BoP for engineers or not. Presumably yes, but having this mount available to players outside of the engineering profession would provide a very unique source of income for engineers. A profession that is normally crippled by it’s inability to provide anything other than novelty items.

Best achievement ever? In a word, yes! If you’ve been around world of warcraft for any stretch of time then you’re certainly heard and probably seen the now legendary Leroy Jenkins video. If not…you can check it out below!

In honor of this WoW legend Blizzard has created the new achievement…

Kill 50 rookery whelps within 15 seconds.

For slaying the 50 whelps in 15 seconds you receive “Jenkins” as a title. Pretty funny, can’t wait to see how many players put in name changes for various iterations of “Leroy”.

New Orgrimmar Arena - Video Preview

One word…amazing. Simply amazing. Blizzard has really out done themselves with this one. Let’s face it arenas currently are pretty boring, at least the map designs. The new orgrimmar arena is just stacked with really cool stuff.

• 2 pillar sets, 2 pillars per set. Only 2 of the pillars are up at a given time.
• Ability to stand on pillar and ride it to the top.
• 2 Fire walls that come up periodically and span the middle of the map.
• 2 Shadow sights (as expected)

This is the type of dynamic arena I’ve been waiting for. There’s so much going on in the arena, it adds a whole new level of difficulty to the map. I really hope we see changes like this retrofitted to the old areas as well as additional dynamic and exciting arena maps.

Mutilate Rogue / Shadow Priest 2v2 Video - Tuska 4

My initial impression of this video was just wow…I’ve been playing World of Warcraft and watching PvP videos for years now and in all that time I’ve never seen a 2v2 video that even comes close to this. This video features a mutilate rogue / shadow priest 2v2 combo from Doom Squad on EU. It’s filmed in the 2100-2350 bracket and features some of Europe’s best teams and players.

The video offers a strategy break down for each different match up they fight and points out some of the subtle strategic decisions they make throughout the fight in order to secure a win. All the strategies are sound and executed to perfection.

On top of being an excellent tutorial video it’s also an incredibly entertaining and enjoyable movie. The editing and music fit very nicely together and the whole package just comes out looking beautifully. 5 / 5 stars.

Rogue / Druid 2v2 and Zuggy 3!

As some of you may already know I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus this season as far as arena has been concerned. Part of this is due to all of my partners retiring / breaking till expansion at the end of S3 and partly due to just flat our boredom. After a couple of months without any serious arena I’m finally starting to get back into the swing of things and I’ve found myself a new partner.

Rogue / Restokin Druid Is Here!

My new 2v2 team, which will be my primary arena focus, is a rogue / restokin druid (that’s him to the right!). So far we’ve played 2 nights and quickly made it to 2055 rating. It’s a very interesting combo to play and truly unlike anything I’ve ever played before. More than anything else this combo requires a much higher level of communication. The more and more we play the more I really am starting to understand the absolute important of continual communication, target switching and well timed crowd control. It’s a great experience and I can’t wait to see how far we can take this team.

I’ve been hinting at Zuggy 3 for sometime, and I feel like I’ve finally got the right setup I’ve been looking for this video.

Rogue WotLK: Unfair Advantage Video

All you rogues out there are really going to love this. The following video is a level 71 rogue on the WotLK beta server testing out the new combat talent, unfair advantage. I won’t spoil it for  you, but let me just say it’s pretty damn crazy…can’t wait till patch 3.0 goes live!

Unfair Advantage:

Whenever you dodge an attack you gain an Unfair Advantage, striking back for 100% of your main hand weapon’s damage.
