Paladin Talent Builds
June 23, 2009 by Hodzy
Here at ZugGaming we have a great set of Paladin Talent Builds. Paladins are a great class to play because all specs have lots of healing and are very viable for raiding. Most Paladin talent builds also give a lot of utility making the paladins a very useful class.
Paladin PvP Talent Builds
Paladins are a very fortunate class in pvp right now. Retribution and holy spec Paladins are a high makeup of the 3v3 bracket and Holy paladins are always great in 5v5. With lots of survivability with bubble and nice burst healing, paladins will be a very good pvp class for a while.
- Holy PvP 51/20/0 – High healing output paladin pvp spec
- Hybrid PvP 32/0/39 – Healing/repentance pvp spec for aggressive play
- Ret PvP 0/20/51 – Ret spec pvp build
Paladin PvE Talent Builds
All three talent specs for Paladins are used in end game raids. All raids usually consist of at least one of every spec paladins with Holy being the most popular. Prot paladins are one of the best tanks because of the short cooldowns they have to keep themselves alive.
- Ret PvE 0/17/54 – High damage pve spec ret with raid utility
- Prot PvE 0/53/18 - Basic prot tanking spec
- Holy PvE 51/5/15 – Raid healing spec
Paladin Leveling Talent Builds
Paladins are a great class to level. With paladin changes in for Wrath of the Lich King retribution paladins have no down time while leveling. Most Paladin specs for leveling will work great since they rely on judgement damage which all specs improve.
- Ret Leveling 0/10/61 – Single target leveling spec
- Prot Leveling 7/51/13 – Aoe leveling build

Ok what i dont get is why you wouldn’t need Fantacism in ret for pvp, isn’t getting that extra crit good for judgments?
also y wld u need imp devotion aura? i eman arent you going to be using only one aura in arenas so why would you need imp devo aura and sanctified retribution? you can’t use both at the same time, so why not put that point of devo aura into toughness or maybe even imp righteous furry for the dmg reduction?
As with any spec, it comes down to preference. Yes, you are only using one aura at a time, but those aura will be changing from match to match, perhaps within even a single match. In any regard, a few points of change isn’t going to make or break the spec.
Ahhh sweet u guys replied to me :D. but what about my question about fantacism. Why did you guys not put points into there, or is it about preference? because i always leveled thinking that the more you crit the more you get to use art of war and the more you get that the more you can instant heal with flash of light.
LOL. Me again, lol, i wanted to make a reference to the ret pve spec, I found that the best way to help raid survivability and also pull a great amount of dps is to put a point into Seal of Command( Many ppl don’t realize this but seal of command is pretty useful, especially against multiple mobs, and it also give ur pretty numbers on the dps charts). I was pulling 11 k on trash pulls, lol i know that’s godly :P. Also i took points out of toughness and divine guardian and put them into Seals of the Pure, this helps the few 5 ppl around u survive a bit more and also makes you pull tons more dps, especially since Seal of vengeance is top dog now.
@CJ – You make a good point. With the SoV changes it’s certainly a viable option if you prefer it.
