Shadow Priest / Rogue vs. Rogue / Druid 2v2 Arena Strategy
June 21, 2008 by Zuggy
This match will be very similar to the Shaman/Warrior. Kill the healer, and CC the DPS if you’re allowed.
Rogue Arena Tactics
Alright this will come down to you finding the opposing rogue or not. If you find the druid do not open on him until that rogue is out of stealth too, he can make things hell for your partner! If the opposing rogue opens on your priest, then counter open(without popping CD’s), and the second you see the druid vanish and reopen on him. Lay out your damage, and CC the opposing rogue if racials allow it. Shiv Crippling is your friend! This is where a Shadowstep build with vile poisons really pulls through. Restrict yourself to blowing only one set of CD as Shadowstep as if you’re late on killing the druid it might come down to a 1 on 1 with the opposing rogue.
Priest Arena Tactics
Careful of the opposing rogue, if you’re a Human good luck finding him. Once you see the druid help your rogue take him out, and fear the rogue calling out the trinket if you can. Basically get the druid down within a 30 second window and it will be a smooth ride. Any later than that it might come down to rogue @ rogue and nobody likes a CD fight.

hi i found this match up very hard (or impossible) especially if we deal with undead rogue/tauren druid there is no way to CC rogue if i sap rogue first and we both open on him druid shows up and chain cyclone/bash/warstomp me….then rogue blind me heh if i left my priest with rogue this is automaticly GG aka WOTF and even if i sap rogue find druid and open on him rogue will trink -> vanish and open on priest and we cant kill druid in bear form fast enought :/
Well, I imagine what’s happening your situation is you are getting a poor start, forcing your team on the defensive immediately…which might as well be a loss.
You need to do everything you can early on to prevent getting crowd controlled in order to have a strong opener on the rogue. If this means vanish immune the cyclone / CloS through cyclones / early blind on the druid / early fears on the druid / flying focus gouge / kick on the druid / evasion an incoming bash…
above all you CANNOT get CC’d early. If you do the rogue will tear your priest up pretty quick. Just make certain you do everything you can to avoid a full cyclone rotation at all costs. Also, save your trinket for the blind.
the problem is that druid never get that close to priest so he can fear … slow poisons and shiv … druid trinket blind immidietly switch to bear form and feral charge me or bash
Perhaps I should have added after having your rogue open on the opposing rogue, rupture him to possibly prevent re-openers on the priest. Also another thing to be wary of is what form do you tend to catch the druid in? With opening on the rogue or sapping on the rogue you should almost always get him in cat or caster form. One good 9 second stun-lock(CS==>KS) should almost spell the game here. Another thing is if the druid does trinket the rogue’s KS have him vanish and immediately reopen with a garrote that 4 seconds should be enough time to down him. I can understand your frustration versus undead rogue, but your burst with a stunlock and poisons should be enough to take out the druid. If the druid running away is your issue, the get back on the rogue a Spriest + Rogue has too much damage for a healer to ignore. I’m also not understanding your complaint if the rogue trinkets a sap, follow it up with a blind and another sap that 15-20 seconds should be enough time to dps a druid.
