Shaman Macro Guide
June 20, 2008 by Zuggy
Every class is going to be using a fair amount of macros to lessened the button load on their bars, and shaman is certainly one that takes heavy advantage of this. Being a hybrid class there are a variety of different talent specs that will take advantage of only a selection of these macros. So for this guide I’ll be organizing the macros by the three primary shaman specs, enhancement, elemental, and restoration. In addition, I’ve listed some general shaman macros.
Also, make sure you check out shaman focus macros guide too!
General Macros
Drop a totem set with one button
/castsequence reset=6 Searing Totem, Mana Spring Totem, Grounding Totem, Strength of Earth Totem
*simply change each totem to your desired totem
Assist Purge
/assist PlayersName
/cast Purge
*I usually set my assist to the warrior on my team, great way to purge the focus target without having to manually switch targets.
Lightning / Water shield modifier
/cast [nomodifier:alt] Lightning Shield; Water Shield
*You can change the modifier to alt, shift, or control. Lightning shield will be the primary no modifier ability with water shield being the key based off the modifier you set.
Add trinket to lesser healing wave
#show lesser healing wave
/use Memento of Tyrande
/cast Lesser Healing Wave(Rank 7)
*obviously you’ll want to change “Memento of Tyrande” to the name of your own trinket
Mouse over target then cure poison
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Cure Poison
Mouse over target then cure disease
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Cure Disease
One button mount / ghost wolf
/cast [nomodifier:alt] Whistle of the Black War Raptor; Ghost Wolf
*change the modifier to either alt, shift, or control. Also, change “Whistle of the Black War Raptor” to the mount you are current riding.
Totem Sniping
/target Mana Tide Totem
/target Tremor Totem
/target Poison Cleansing Totem
/target Earth Bind Totem
/cast Lightning Bolt(Rank 1)
*This macro will target and attack enemy totems, great if you can target them very easily across the map. You can change the amount of totems you want to target and the order by simply adjusting the /target list on top of the lightning bolt.
Enhancement Macros
Start attack with stormstrike
#show Stormstrike
/startattack
/cast Stormstrike
Add a trinket to stormstrike
#show Stormstrike
/startattack
/use Bloodlust’s Brooch
/cast Stormstrike
*simply change “Bloodlust’s Brooch” for the name of your own trinket
Restoration Macros
Nature’s Swiftness then Healing Wave
/cast Nature’s Swiftness
/stopcasting
/cast Healing Wave
Earth Shield/ Water shield modifier
/cast [nomodifier:alt] Earth Shield; Water Shield
*Similar to the macro listed above, you can change the modifier to alt, shift, or control.
Battlegrounds Lesser Healing Wave Spamming
/targetfriend [nodead]
/cast [nodead] Lesser Healing Wave(Rank 7)
*Targets a nearby player and casts the heal, great if you are having trouble targeting players like in Alterac Valley
Battlegrounds Healing Wave Spamming
/targetfriend [nodead]
/cast [nodead] Healing Wave(Rank 12)
*Targets a nearby player and casts the heal, great if you are having trouble targeting players like in Alterac Valley
Elemental Macros
The 1 button “2345″ (requires 2 clicks)
#show Chain Lightning
/use Hex Shrunken Head
/cast elemental mastery
/stopcasting
/cast nature’s swiftness
/stopcasting
/cast Chain Lightning(Rank 6)
*Change “Hex Shrunken Head” for the name of your trinket. On a side note, the term “2345″ is meant to represent the series of button an elemental shaman normally presses to drop their bomb. 2 is the damage, 3 is elemental mastery, 4 is nature’s swiftness, and 5 is chain lightning. So if you were to press 2345 you’d simply roll your fingers across the keys, but now you have it all on one button!
Add trinket to lightning bolt
#show Lightning Bolt
/use Hex Shrunken Head
/cast Lightning Bolt(Rank 12)
*change “Hex Shrunken Head” to the name of the trinket you are currently using
